Why isn't my stuff selling on Vinted?

- FAQ
1. The price is set from asking prices, not sold ones
Other sellers' asking prices tell you what people hope to get. Sold listings tell you what buyers actually pay. Search the brand and item, filter to similar condition, and price against what's sold. If yours is the most expensive of ten near-identical items, it will be the last to go. See how to price on Vinted.
2. The first photo doesn't stop the scroll
Buyers decide from a thumbnail. A crumpled item on a busy bed, in yellow evening light, gets scrolled past. Use daylight, a plain background, the whole item in frame, and make the first photo the best one. See photos that sell.
3. The title isn't what buyers search for
"Lovely top, worn once!!" matches nobody's search. Use brand, item, key detail, colour, size: "Zara satin midi skirt, green, size S". Those are the words in the search bar.
4. Brand, size or category is missing or wrong
Most Vinted buyers filter by size, brand and category. If you picked the wrong category, left the brand as "other", or chose a size that doesn't match the label, your item disappears from those filtered searches completely. Check every field against the label.
5. No measurements
Sizes vary between brands, so buyers who can't tell if it'll fit often just move on. Add pit to pit and length for tops and coats, waist and inside leg for trousers. It also cuts down on "will this fit me?" messages.
6. The description leaves questions unanswered
Buyers want to know the condition, the material and any flaws before they commit. A short, honest description with flaws shown in a photo builds trust. Vague listings feel risky, and risky listings don't sell.
7. It's the wrong time of year
Coats sell in autumn, swimwear in spring, school uniform in summer. Out-of-season items can sit for months and then sell in days once the weather turns. Either price for a quick sale now or hold them back. See what sells when.
8. It's too cheap to be worth the postage
A £2 top with £3 postage isn't a bargain to a buyer. Group low-value items into bundles, or set a bundle discount so buyers add them to bigger orders. See Vinted bundles explained.
9. Offers and messages go unanswered
A buyer who sends an offer is ready to buy now. Reply quickly, even if you counter. If someone favourites an item and nothing happens, a small price drop can tip them over.
10. The listing has gone stale
Newer listings tend to get more attention. If an item has sat for weeks, refresh it: better photos, a clearer title, a price closer to what's sold. Vinted also sells paid visibility boosts, but fix the listing first, because a boost won't save a weak one.

Usually the price is above what similar items have sold for, the photos don't show the item clearly, or buyers can't tell if it will fit. Check sold listings, improve the first photo and add measurements.
Use a title with brand, item, colour and size, fill in every field (brand, size, category, condition) correctly, and make the first photo bright and clear. Correct fields put you in filtered searches.
If it has sat for a couple of weeks and is priced above sold listings, yes. A small drop can turn favourites into a sale.
Yes. Seasonal items like coats and swimwear sell much faster in their season. List them just before demand picks up.
