Reseller profit calculator
What did you actually make on that sale? Put in what you paid, what it sold for and your costs, and see your real profit and margin. It also tells you what to list at to hit the profit you want.
Enter what it sold for to start.
Fees change, so check them. The presets are starting points for private sellers, not a quote: change any box to match your own costs and the marketplace's current fee page. Business sellers usually pay more.
Spend less time on each listing
Profit per hour matters as much as profit per item. Snappy writes the listing from a photo in seconds, for 7 marketplaces. 3 free listings, no card needed.

Profit = sold for − what you paid − postage you paid − packaging − fees.
- Margin is profit as a share of the sale price. A £25 sale with £15 profit is a 60% margin.
- Return on cost is profit compared with what you paid. Buy at £5, make £15 profit, and that's a 300% return, or 4× your money back.
- Selling your own clutter? Put £0 for what you paid. Everything after costs is profit.
Making each sale worth it
- Bundle the cheap stuff. A £2 item costs nearly as much time as a £20 one. See how bundles work on Vinted.
- Price from sold listings, not asking prices. See how to price on Vinted.
- Keep a note of costs if you buy to resell: you'll want them if your sales ever count as trading. See selling online and HMRC.
Questions
Do sellers pay fees on Vinted?
No. The buyer pays the Vinted fee and the postage, so a private seller keeps the full item price.
What's a good margin for reselling?
Many resellers aim to at least double what they paid, because the margin has to cover the time spent photographing, listing and posting.
Is anything I type sent anywhere?
No. The calculator runs in your browser and nothing leaves your device.
